PAQT'SMAWEI SIPU WIND PROJECT

The Paqt'smawei Sipu Wind Project will be developed in phases, with approximately 42 turbine locations being permitted as part of the project's Environmental Impact Assessment. The first phase of the Paqt'smawei Sipu Project is being developed by a partnership between Indian Island First Nation, Mi'gmaq United Investment Network, and Natural Forces. It is proposed to be located 12 km southeast of Springdale on a combination of private and provincial Crown land. The first phase of the project would consist of 15 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of approximately 105 MW. Additional turbine locations are being permitted for potential future project phases.
